At the 2013 American Country Awards, it really wasn't difficult to see who fans thought was the cream of the crop this past year in the country music genre as Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, and Florida Georgia Line led the list of winners and took away thirteen awards all-told at the annual fan-voted affair. As was recounted by Yahoo Music Dec. 10, between them, they also took home the night's highest honors, like Artist of the Year (Bryan), New Artist of the Year (Florida Georgia Line), Single of the Year ("Cruise" remix (ft. Nelly), Florida Georgia Line), and Album of the Year (Based on a True Story, Blake Shelton). But they didn't win them all, perhaps due to the fact that some categories, like Artist of the Year: Female, wasn't available to them.

In all, Florida Georgia Line pulled in six guitar trophies at the American Country Awards, making them the night's biggest winners. Besides the aforementioned, the duo's song "Cruise" won for Single of the Year: New Artist, Video of the Year: New Artist, Most Played Radio Track, and Most Played Radio Track: New Artist.

Shelton garnered the next biggest haul, taking home four awards. Besides the Album of the Year award, his song "Sure Be Cool If You Did," won three awards on its own: Single of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and Music Video of the Year: Male.

Luke Bryan scored the biggest honor of the evening at the awards ceremony, which was held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, winning the Artist of the Year award. He also took home the Touring Award and the Artist of the Year: Male award.

Even with the thirteen the three guys pulled in, there were quite a few others to give away. Three of those went to the Tim McGraw song, "Highway Don't Care," which took away awards for Single of the Year: Vocal Collaboration, Music Video of the Year: Group or Collaboration, which went to McGraw and the coveted Song of the Year award, which went to the songwriters.

Taylor Swift, who was part of McGraw's collaborative effort (along with Keith Urban) took four awards home herself, at least by association: The aforementioned three and one where she was the sole winner: Worldwide Artist of the Year.

The wife of the winning husband-and-wife tagteam that has won numerous awards at various country music ceremonies over the past few years, Miranda Lambert (spouse to Blake Shelton), won Artist of the Year: Female, Single of the Year: Female ("Mama's Broken Heart"), and Most Played Radio Track: Female ("Mama's Broken Heart").

Lady Antebellum was the big Group winner, taking away the Artist of the Year: Group and the Single of the Year: Group (for "Downtown") awards.

Trace Adkins hosted the 2013 show again. In fact, he's hosted each year since its inception four years ago. This year's co-host was NASCAR driver Danica Patrick.

Other award winners at the 2013 ceremony were Scotty McCreery, The Band Perry, Lee Brice, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, and Randy Houser.
