The American Music Awards (ACA) broadcast was aired live Tuesday, Dec. 10 (8-10 p.m. EST. live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. The Awards show was held at The Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The two-hour live music spectacular’s nominations and winners were chosen by fan voting for their favorite artists in traditional categories, but a previously unrecognized area - touring – was added to the awards, fully completing the entire spectrum of country music.

Hosts were Trace Adkins, a multi-platinum recording artist and NASCAR superstar Danica Patrick for this fourth annual American Country Awards. The show began as Trace and Danica were stopped by a Las Vegas “patrol officer”… actually, a fully-decked out, karate gyrating Elvis! It wasn’t Danica’s fault, Trace was driving.

The “Elvis” followed them into the show. As they finally got the Elvis wannabe out – Trace couldn’t have been happier, saying that he had always wanted to say: “Elvis has left the building!”

The pro NASCAR racer Danica Patrick wasn't afraid to get sexy for the American Country Awards tonight. Trace’s co-host surprised him, viewers and guests when she showed up scantily clad in a showgirl costume that revealed her curves, bringing the true spirit of Las Vegas to country stage (and to NASCAR too.)

The vibrant ensemble was full of big and bright feathers, a bedazzled nude bodysuit and huge headdress. Patrick took a jab at her breast size by telling the crowd, "The good thing about me is that there's no chance of a wardrobe malfunction there's not much to malfunction!"

She added, "I hope that little bit didn't fall flat."

Patrick wasn't alone when it came to the elaborate costume. Her co-host, country star and Celebrity Apprentice winner Trace Adkins, also donned an outrageous getup, and kept the laughs coming when he appeared directly following Patrick's appearance in drag, singing a little bit of "I Feel Pretty."

LeAnn Rimes, Justin Moore, Randy Houser, Thomas Rhett, Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, Luke Bryan, Jewel and Dwight Yoakam were in the lineup for tonight's musical entertainment. LeAnn Rimes performed a medley of Patsy Cline songs while the screens showed pictures of the legendary Patsy. LeAnn not only looked like Grace Kelly, but if there is reincarnation, LeAnn has that amazing gift of Patsy’s vocals, so perfectly mastered. LeAnn stood out amidst all others, like a shining star she is.

Awards were handed out in 20 categories. Brad Paisley was awarded the Video Visionary Award by the legendary Dwight Yoakam. A special honor, The Worldwide Artist Award was presented by Olivia Newton-John to the winner, Taylor Swift.

Congratulations to all nominees and winners and to the fans who voted for them.

P.S. A little birdie said the after-party was at The House of Blues in Las Vegas at 11 p.m.
