American Cancer Society Relay for life

The American Cancer society Relay for Life is asking you to give one day out of your life to help those who may not have
another chance at life.

The Relay for life is an awe-inspiring 24-hour event to fight cancer.

How it works: A team captain gets together some of their closest friends, family and co-workers and form a team. The team will then go out and fundraise prior to the event. Each team and their members will be given their own web page to keep track of their progress and are encouraged to fundraise via email, facebook and many other social media outlets!

On relay day, Saturday August 16th-Sunday August 17th participants will grab their tents and chairs and enthusiastically go down to Webster Middle School in West Los Angeles California. What you will experience is a glorious and profound immersion that will change your life for the greater good.

It’s a community camp-out! You will pitch your tent on the field and take turns walking around the track. One person from your team is always on the track representing for the team for 24 hours. How MARVELOUS!

Relay for life is more than honoring survivors, it’s a movement of empowerment to help others fight back against cancer. The first lap is a very special lap, the lap of champions, it’s the survivors lap. Cancer survivors will walk the first lap.
