Fans of “American Builders” have watched week after week as designers transform projects in a weekly showdown. Offering up a look at their skills and strength in the building business, there has been plenty of interesting moments. The season finale on Sunday night is going to be the last challenge before a winner is decided. According to The Plains Dealer on Sunday, the winning designer is one project away from the $250,000 prize and it is down to two contestants. Either Jay Riordan or Lukas Machnik will win.

Nate Berkus hosts “American Builders” while Eddie George and Monica Pedersen serve as judges. After nine weeks and 19 renovations, the final two designers meet their final challenge. In their biggest renovation to date, they must transform two dream beach homes in Ventura, California. This might be their biggest task yet and definitely their most important.

The two designers won’t be tackling the project alone as help is on the way. They are reunited with a few surprise guests to assist and the viewers are going to be surprised as well. The task at hand becomes very clear as the viewers see the creation of the final challenge for the win.

On Sunday night one designer will win the grand prize of $250,000 and be crowned as the first American Dream Builder. The other will have bragging rights to say they were in the competition (and was good enough to be the runner up.) If the show comes back for another season, it might be interesting to see what changes might be made to make the show more enticing.

Over the past nine weeks the viewers not only got to see some great work, they watched as the designers revealed ideas and suggestions to make any house a home. There is no doubt fans got a few good home decorating ideas from this season.
