Local Minnesota writer Vince Flynn has been on the scene for quite sometime writing thriller novels. The first novel to hit the press was 'Term Limits' in 1997. Ever since the inception to his thrilling career books have been released at a steady stream. Each novel after 'Term Limits' starred Flynn's creative CIA assassin, Mitch Rapp.
Over the years his books garnered top spots on the New York Time's Best Sellers List and his latest will not be far behind the previous. In 2010, American Assassin, had been written by Flynn to explain the back story of Mitch Rapp and how he became the CIA's top asset. His latest novel, "Killshot", continues the story of how Rapp became such a deadly spy. The original due date for the novel had been this past November, but in the midst of Vince's fight against prostate cancer the release of "Killshot" had been pushed back.
After taking the shot against cancer, Vince Flynn now offers another look inside Mitch Rapp and his rise throughout the CIA. Grab your copy of Killshot now!
American Assassin
Will American Assassin be produced in Hollywood?
The time has shown little progress on the film adaptation of American Assassin. CBS Films owns the production rights to Flynn's Mitch Rapp series. The original plan had been to start with "Consent to Kill", though that idea fizzled out.
Finally new life had been bred into the production life of a Mitch Rapp film. Last summer director Edward Zwick and writer Marshall Herskovitz had been attached to the film. Both were to pen the script together, though these plans seem to have fallen short also.
Now Vince Flynn and others have been talking with a new director, though CBS Films must start production on the film otherwise they lose the rights on the material. If this is to happen, then Flynn garners the rights and can look elsewhere for production.
