America is looking more like a totalitarian regime everyday. The latest in total ridiculousness comes from the Christian Post (CP) that reports a pastor was arrested for simply waving to police officers.
Because of the on-going investigation, Madison can't say who the officers were that treated him so disrespectfully. The allegation is that Madison came across the police officers and simply waved.
Madison, a youth pastor and firefighter from Evansville, IN, was riding his bicycle when he came across the police squad car. He thought he recognized one of the officers and waved to them.
Since he is a firefighter he works with the local police on a routine basis. Madison says he knows several officers. However, the police interpreted the wave as a flip of the middle finger.
The officers immediately stopped Madison, and according to Madison, they got very confrontational with him. This is when Madison took out his cell phone to call the police chief, Billy Bolin, who he is friends with.
The cops ordered Madison to hang up his phone; he knew that he had nothing wrong so he hesitated to obey the order. This is when one of the cops pulled out his taser and pointed it directly at Madison's face.
Madison said: “It (the taser) was literally maybe inches from my face. I immediately threw my hands in the air. What he asked me to do I was more than willing to do. I said please don't hurt me.
The next thing I know I’m laying down the ground, and they cuffed me. Once they found out I was a fireman their attitude changed." The report says an internal investigation is underway within the police department. However, officers seem to be sticking with one another and aren't buying Madison's story.
This is just one of many stories across America where police are becoming aggressive against people for practically nothing. There seems to be an epidemic of violence committed by police that's sweeping the country.
The cops are being trained that we, the general public, are their enemy. As such this supposedly gives the police the authority to engage in outright brutality against us. They have no fear of being thrown in jail, after all it's our word against theirs.
