"Sister Golden Hair" traveled the "Ventura Highway" by way of the Hudson Gardens and Event Center Sunday night, June 22.
Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell and the rest of the group known as America sang to a sold out crowd at the Hudson Gardens and Event Center. With such great hits as "Horse With No Name", "Sister Golden Hair", "Ventura Highway" "Daisy Jane", "Sandman", "Don't Cross the River" and many more award winning hits, America has become one of the favorites that has been producing Grammy Award winning hits from the early '70s and are still a number one with many fans and radio stations across the United States. America has sold over 45 million albums and even have their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Hitting the stage at the Hudson Gardens and Event Center, America opened the show with "Tin Man". From their they broke out the magic with "You Can Do Magic". The third song was one of the crowds favorites, "Don't Cross the River".
America had the Hudson Gardens and Even Center packed and if you walked up to purchase a ticket you were unfortunately turned away. The venue was sold out. America was one of the hot groups that is being featured at the Hudson Gardens and Event Center this summer and people had purchased their tickets early. And for good reason. Anything Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell write and perform it seems it is a hit. The two are Grammy Award winners and their hits are too many to list.
America performs over 100 concerts a year and this show is one of the best.
