'America's Next Top Model' Cycle 16 - Episode 6 - Getting Muddy

Last week on America's Next Top Model, the girls had to work in teams of three to produce a Webisode for CoverGirl. Alexandria, as she has in the past, tried to do everyone's job, and nearly had a meltdown when things didn't go her way. The team of Brittany, Kasia and Mikaela won the challenge, and had their Webisode posted on the CoverGirl website.

The photo shoot for the week took place at the old Los Angeles zoo, where the girls had to pose with a baby jaguar, wearing Rachel Zoe's faux fur creations. Hannah won first callout, with Molly and Dalya winding up in the bottom two, where Dalya went home for standing in her own way. Who will go home this week? Read on.

This week, as the models arrive back at the model home, they are greeted by Tyra, who sits them down with pens and paper, and proceeds to give them a lesson in learning their archetypes. She shows them some photos of some famous models and has the girls guess which type each of them are. First is Gisele, who is the bombshell type. Coco Rocha is next, and she is girl next door. Agyness Den is next, and she is the edgy type. The last model is sessile Lopez, who is couture.

Next, they get to label themselves. Kasia is bombshell, with some couture. Jaclyn is girl next door. Monique is bombshell, as is Molly. Alexandria is edgy bombshell. Brittani is couture. Mikaela is also bombshell. Tyra also talks to them about dealing with fame, and deciding how close they will let their public get to them. She has them practice signing their autograph, and tells them they'll need to be thick skinned, because there will always be people trying to put them down somewhere.

Later on, we see Molly weaveless. She's finally without that awful monster weave, and she is so happy. On to the first Tyra mail!

"Tomorrow you'll have a real following. Love, Tyra"

The next day, the girls are taken to the Westfield Century City mall, where they meet with Miss J. He tells them they'll have an autograph signing challenge. The winner will get a personal a-list dinner with Miss J.

Soon, the girls are inundated by the fans, who come to chat with them. One fan in particular is a little creepy to Monique, saying that he'd like her to write on his photo that he's a good kisser. She said she wouldn't do that, but maybe Alexandria would. So, naturally creepy guy goes over to Alexandria and tells her that Monique said she would kiss him. She tried to get him to back off, saying her boyfriend wouldn't like that, but he was persistent, so she gave him a kiss on the cheek. Ewww.

When it was done, Miss J gave them critiques. He started by telling Alexandria should never have kissed that creepy guy, since that could lead him to stalking her. He thought Jaclyn was like the girl next door with a squeaky personality. He liked how Kasia talked with the fans and keeping it model-ly. He called Monique out for acting like she couldn't wait to get out of there. The winner was Kasia, and she got to pick two friends to go to dinner with Miss J. She chose Jaclyn and Brittani to go with her. Kasia interviewed that she was thrilled to sit down in an intimate setting with someone with so much experience in the fashion industry. Monique was upset that she didn't win, and she said she wished the girls that won would get food poisoning. Wow, talk about a poor loser. The girls that didn't win had to clean up the fan mess, and Monique had a hissy fit about having to clean up garbage, like she was above having to do manual labor.

The three girls had a wonderful dinner with Miss J, and when they came home, they were greeted by the girls, pleasantly by Hannah and Mikaela, and angrily by Monique, who was still pissed off.

Tyra mail!

"Oh the tangled webs we weave! Love, Tyra"

The next day, the bus takes the girls out to the Smashbox studios where they meet up with Mr. Jay and photographer Jonathan Mannion. Mr. Jay explains that the girls are indoors for the shoot, because they're gonna be wearing very little. He tells them that they'll be photographed covered in mud in groups of four. The blondes will be in one group, and the brunettes in the other. They'll have to shine individually while still working as a group.

The blondes are first, and Hannah and Molly really shine to Mr. Jay, while Kasia and Alexandria seem like they're not really part of the group. Alexandria started with her bossy ways again, and she tried to move Kasia's arm that Mr. Jay had positioned, so she could rest her head on Molly's shoulder. Mr. Jay caught her doing this, and asked her why she was trying to direct the shoot.

When the brunettes had their shoot, Mr. Jay had to keep telling Mikaela to stretch her neck. He said she would look like a model for a few shots, and then she'd revert again and look just like a pretty woman. The photographer was loving Brittani, and even had to go and take an individual shot of her.

Back at the model home after the shoot, the girls get the elimination Tyra mail.

"Tomorrow you will meet with the judges. Only 7 will continue on in the hope of becoming America's Next Top Model."

At panel, Tyra introduces the judges, including guest judge Sonia Dara. She tells the girls about the prizes once again, then describes the photo shoot for the week, with the blondes against the brunettes in group shots.

The girls were called in groups, with the brunettes first -- Jaclyn, Mikaela, Monique and Brittani. ALT loves the shot, saying he can't really tell who is who, and he loves that. Nigel says that they're working together extremely well. He loves Monique's soft look. Tyra thinks she could give a more, and thinks it's just in the middle. Not boring, but not fabulous. Nigel thinks Jaclyn rocks in the photo. Tyra likes her body language. ALT thinks her hands look a bit heavy, but her face is stunning. ALT remarks about Mikaela's great bone structure and eyebrows, but doesn't feel any great drama coming from her. Sonia talks about Mikaela's great bone structure, but doesn't see anything in her eyes. Tyra remarked that Mikaela would give great looks, then would let it go, and she wasn't consistant with it. Nigel thinks that Brittani is the standout in the photo. ALT thinks she owns the shot.

Next, the blondes -- Alexandria, Kasia, Hannah and Molly are critiqued. ALT thinks the photo could be a billboard, of a remake of Charlie's Angels, all blondes. Sonia says the photo makes her want to be blonde for some reason. ALT thinks Hannah's shot is the best she's ever taken. Sonia thinks her doe-like face is very calm. ALT thinks that Molly looks super gorgeous, and thank God she's gotten rid of the weave. Nigel thinks it's extraordinary as well, but reminds her that she has a slightly weak eye, and she needs to be careful of that. Sonia says that her eyes go right to Kasia first, and she likes her interaction with the other girls. Tyra was really impressed with her film as a whole. ALT thinks Alexandria looks a little bit posey, rather like she is trying to get in the photograph, and doesn't want to be left out. Tyra mentions that she thinks Alexandria fell off this week. When she was lying down, she looked like she was just gone. In the final shot, she loves the way she's hunched over, but it wasn't consistant with the way she looked in all her film.

The judges deliberated, and the girls were called out one at a time.

1.      Brittani

2.      Kasia

3.      Molly

4.      Jaclyn

5.      Hannah

6.      Alexandria

The bottom two are Mikaela and Monique. The judges think that Mikaela's eyes are dead. The judges think that Monique is just coasting along in the middle. Who will stay? Mikaela will stay, and Monique will go home.

Next week, Brittani goes off on Alexandria at a photo shoot with Nigel Barker, and the girls do an additional photo shoot styled by "Gossip Girl" stylist Eric Daman.
