'America's Next Top Model' Cycle 15 - Episode 11 recap - National America's Next Top Model

Last week on America’s Next Top Model, the girls went on go-sees. They were to visit four locations in four hours, but everyone had problems finding their way to each of the places, and Jane, Ann, Kayla and Chris only made it to one go-see, while Chelsey managed to make it to two, making her the winner of the challenge.

Later on, they had a photo shoot at a beautiful estate on Lake Como, where they had to pose as statues being brought to life by their male model sculptor. Ann’s love of artistic things helped her in the shoot, and Chelsey and Kayla also had successful shoots. Jane and Chris had a hard time with their shoots, which ended up with them in the bottom two at panel. In the end Chris went home, as the judges felt that she was less invested.

When the girls arrive home after last week's panel, Kayla stops to admire her winning photo on the flat screen TV, rubbing it in to Chelsey, who has yet to win best picture of the week, "Come on and look at it with me, Chelsey."

Next thing we know it's time for Tyra mail!

“Modeling is 100% you, and 50% who you know.Love, Tyra”

The girls head out to a location where they meet Miss J and acting coach Barbara Terrinoni, who gives them a teach on showing your personality, and displaying different emotions. Miss J tells them this will come in handy when they meet someone really important the next day, whom they will want to impress.

The next day, the bus brings the girls to a building where they board an elevator, taking them up to the Vogue Italia offices. When they enter the office, they are greeted by Andre Leon Talley, who introduces them to Franca Sozzani, the editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia. Each of the girls will be able to present themselves and their portfolio to her, and she will judge who she thinks does the best in showing their personality.

After each girl has had her turn chatting with Franca, she and Andre discuss her thoughts on everyone, and afterwards, Andre then meets with the girls once more to tell them who did the best. That person ended up being Chelsey, who brought both character and a strong portfolio to the mix. The prize for winning the challenge is that she and Andre will have a private viewing of Leonardo di Vinci's "Last Supper," and she gets to take one other girl with her, who will also view the painting, plus the two girls will get to stay overnight in a ritzy deluxe hotel in Milan.

Chelsey chooses Kayla to go with her, and when viewing the "Last Supper," Chelsey is visibly moved to tears at being able to view the painting, being Catholic. Later, she and Kayla check out their super deluxe digs, which features a balcony that overlooks a shopping area below, with a Gucci store just across the street.

Jane and Ann decide to have their own "Last Supper" viewing at the model home, and Ann draws her own version of the painting on a napkin and tapes it to the wall, and she and Jane admire it as they munch on Chinese takeout.

Time for Tyra mail! Jane and Ann take turns reading word by word the message.

“Movement creates energy. Tomorrow you’ll be models on the move. Love, Tyra”

The next day, the bus picks up Jane and Ann, and they go pick up Kayla and Chelsey from their hotel. Kayla tells them that the hotel they stayed in was the only 7 star hotel in Europe.

The next stop is a beautiful estate, where they are met by Mr. Jay. He welcomes them to Verona, which is the setting for Shakespeare's “Romeo and Juliet.” He says that is perfect, since they’ll be doing a little bit of acting. He says that everything they’ve learned up to now will be put to the test, which is only fitting, as at the next panel, two girls will be going home.

Next, who should show up by Tyra, who tells the girls that they will be doing a motion editorial, and she will be making her directorial debut directing them on it. Valentina Serra, who is a stylist for Vogue Italia will be their stylist today.

The girls dress up in a variety of couture clothing and each have various shoots with Tyra, both indoors and out. Right now, looking at what each of them is doing, it will be really hard to pick which two girls are going to be going home. We'll have to wait for judging to see what the judges think.

In judging, Tyra introduces the judges, Nigel Barker, Andre Leon Talley and guest judge Franca Sozzani, editor-in-chief at Vogue Italia. She talks about the prizes -- contract with IMG Models, spread in Vogue Italia, cover and spread in Beauty in Vogue, and be featured on the Vogue.it website, plus the $100,000 contract with CoverGirl.

The girls are called out one by one. Chelsey is first. They view a few of the shots and Nigel Barker is stunned. Franca says that she is surprised at how well Chelsey did in front of the camera. Next is Jane. Nigel says that the believability doesn't work for him. Tyra thinks Jane did especially well during the shoot in the large room with the frescos. She says it's hard to make your face look great when you have your hair covering it, but Jane's face pushes through and looks great, even through the hair. Next is Ann. Tyra especially loved Ann's shoulder awkward movements by the window, but thinks she really needs to work on her runway walk. Nigel thinks Ann needs to keep her chin down a bit. The last to be called is Kayla. Nigel says that her performance was the most realistic and believable out of all the girls. Tyra thinks Kayla needs to learn her angles.

The judges deliberated and the callouts went as follows:

This means Kayla and Jane are going home, and Ann and Chelsey will walk in a Roberto Cavalli Fashion show in the finale.
