'America's Got Talent': Nick Cannon opens up about health problems

Nick Cannon was forced recently to step down from his daily morning show due to some health problems stemming from kidney failure and a blood clot in his lungs -- but now, the "America's Got Talent" host is saying that he is on the mend.

Speaking to "Access Hollywood" while at the Los Angeles auditions for his hit NBC show, Cannon said that he has been forced to make some major sacrifices to improve his health -- and one of those has been getting himself on a more consistent schedule:

"My doctor said that I gotta get eight hours of sleep ... I'll still do my countdown show, my syndicated show."

Cannon added that the constant traveling from the east coast to California has also been something that his doctors have stressed against -- and he is trying to take whatever precautions he can in order to keep problems from rising again.
