Fans of “America’s Got Talent” have been waiting to find out who will be replacing judge Sharon Osborne for the upcoming season. The wait is over! EOnline reported on Feb. 25 that former Spice Girl Melanie Brown will be the new judge.
Mel B said she is really excited with her new job that she will begin this weekend. She was asked what she was looking forward to the most as a judge and she said, "Just seeing the talent. Seeing the really bad talent and seeing the amazing talent. It's always going to be a fun show, that show."
Brown has already had some experience judging and is hoping it has prepared her for the new gig. She worked for two years on “X Factor” in Australia, as well as, made an appearance for “X Factor” in the UK. Among other things, she also competed on “Dancing With the Stars” here in the United States.
In the interview when asked if she was nervous her husband, Stephen Belafonte, told them, “She's crapping her pants! I got her a diaper." Mel B laughed at his comment and said, "There you have it."
Melanie joins current judges, Howie Mandel and Howard Stern. "America's Got Talent" Season 8 is scheduled to premiere on May 28.
