"America's Got Talent” (AGT) on NBC can be seen each Tuesday & Wednesday evenings at 9/8 p.m. Last night on Tuesday Sept. 3, 2013 the talent show grabbed 8.95 million TV viewers. It also reached 2.3 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 age demographic. This is the second semi-final showdown between 12 talent acts who performed live at the “Radio City Music Hall” in New York City. America votes and only 6 acts will be chosen to head into the finals. One step closer to that $1 million dollars plus their own headline show in Las Vegas.
“D'Angelo and Amanda” are salsa dance kids. Judge Mel B. said they were flawless, but the routine partially grabbed her. Judge Howie Mandel said it was not their best routine. Judge Howard Stern said they upped their game. Judge Heidi Klume said they were both fierce & glitzy.
“Marty Brown” is a country singer. Mel B. said it was a lot better than the last time. Howie said Marty proved him wrong who performed well under pressure. Heidi said it was 100% better than the last time around. Howard Stern said he applauded Marty for singing to the audience, but he played it safe.
“Chicago Boyz” is an acrobatic dance group. The audience & judges stood on their feet. Howard Stern said theses guys never disappoint. Phenomenal athletes. Heidi said they were truly inspiring. Mel B. said it was “off the hook.” Howie said they were amazing & that they are a headline act.
Howard Stern's 'wild card' pick is “Illusionist Leon Etlenne and Romy Low.” They are a magic act. Howard said he is glad he brought them back. It was no-nonsense. Heidi said they “wowed” her. Mel B. said she fell in love with magic all over again. Howie Mandel gave Howard Stern a standing ovation. They both kissed each other on live TV.
“Anna Christine” is an 11 year old singer. Mel B. said that her performance had amazing control. Howie said it was terrific. Howard Stern said she was fantastic & she deserves to be in the finals. Heidi said she has the strongest voice in tonight's competition.
“Kenichi Ebina” is a dance acrobatic act. He got a standing ovation from the audience & judges. Howie said he is the biggest talent in the world. Howard Stern said this is the strongest semi-finals ever. Kenichi was amazing, fantastic & he loved it. Heidi said he is a genius. Mel B. said it was mind blowing & she wants to see him in Las Vegas.
“John Wing” is a comedian. Howard Stern said this guy is a pro who has great material. Heidi said he is an every man's, man who others can relate to. Mel B. said he was spot on & hopes America votes for him. Howie said this is the night of exceptional talent & John did exceptionally well tonight.
“Branden James” is an opera singer. Heidi said he did a fantastic job & loves him. Mel B. said the camera likes him & she hopes America votes for Branden. Howie said he was great. Howard Stern said he has the most powerful voice in the competition. Tonight his power was there, but not his passion.
“The KriStef Brothers” are a balancing act. Kris was injured last week & went to the hospital. Heidi said they have proven what it takes & wants them to win the whole competition. Mel B. said she loves their strength along with their comedy. Howie said it was amazing. Howard Stern said these guys reinvented “strength” acts.
“American Military Spouses Choir” is an all female singing group. Heidi said it was very powerful. Howie said it isn't about the husbands of these singers. It's about talent. Howard Stern said it was pleasant, but it wasn't the best of the best. Mel B. said they were really good, but asked was it enough?
“Timber Brown” is a danger act. Howie Mandel said it was intense & difficult. He delivered. Howard Stern said the danger was up, but it wasn't as exciting as before. Heidi said tonight didn't do him justice. Mel B. said it was “bloody” intense & amazing.
“Jimmy Rose” is a country singer. Heidi said he is good. Mel B. said he sang the song with great emotion. Howie said he did a great job, but tonight is a tough decision for America. Howard Stern said he is an under dog that America likes, but only thought it was a nice performance. Nothing more.
