Meet Amelia, a 6-year-old cat with silver-blue fur and stunning green eyes. When this gorgeous kitty arrived at the Washington Animal Rescue League, one of her back legs was sticking out at an odd angle. The leg was so badly fractured it could not be saved, and so Amelia underwent an amputation and became a “tri-pawed” (as she is now affectionately referred to). But the loss of a leg hasn’t slowed Amelia down. These days, she’s busy munching on treats, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the attention of league staff and volunteers. Still, this kitty is looking for a forever home of her own. She is a domestic shorthair who would do best as an only cat.
