AMC's new show 'Freakshow' is a family of a different kind

AMC's newest show, "Freakshow," will put a new spin on family according to a Jan. 15 Huffington Post report. The show, which is currently slated as a half-hour special, follows the Venice Beach Freakshow owned by former music producer Todd Ray and his family.

Todd, his wife Danielle, and their children Asia and Phoenix operate the freak show, museum, living oddities, and human attractions. The new show will air at 9:30 on Valentine's Day. The show features a tattooed man, a midget, reptile man, and sword swallower.

The show will offer a different side of what it means to be a family. This is a family that knows nothing different than adversity and being different but they manage and stick by each other despite these differences. A preview of the new show can be seen here.
