The Autism Society has partnered with AMC Theaters to provide opportunities for families affected by autism and other special needs to enjoy going to movies in a safe and accommodating environment.

As part of the Sensory Friendly Program, the theater has the lights on and the sound turned down lower than a typical movie. AMC allows moviegoers to bring gluten free and casein snacks for these movies. Most importantly, kids are welcomed to sing, dance, shout and walk around.

These preview and advertisement- free movies are held on a monthly basis. Their next sensory friendly film is called The Croods. This film can be seen on March 30 at 10 AM. Expect to see Jurassic Park on April 13. Tickets price ranges from $4-$6 and can be purchased on the day of the event. Below are some of the participating theaters.
