As summer makes its debut, so does NYC Color Cosmetics. The affordable cosmetics line hits the beauty counters just in time to show off its selection of new eye-popping shadows, must-have mascaras and luscious lips stains to die for. As part of the launch of the Summer 2011 collection, NYC Color invited beauty editors and bloggers to meet and greet with NYC New York Color Global Make-Up Artist Mathew Nigara to introduce the collection. As part of the event, I was somewhat ambushed by the NYC Color Cosmetics glam squad with a mini makeover and a celebrity photographer was on hand to be my very own personal papparrazzi to catch the before and after beauty moment.
As the super exclusive event got started, the host for the evening Mathew Nigara divulged some of his favorite beauty tips and tools he uses to create a flawless face. He also gave his take on some of the most common trends in beauty such as how to create the perfect smoky eye and how to obtain the perfect lip with the NYC Color lip stains (fyi...which I absolutely love!) As the newly appointed Global Makeup Artist for NYC Color, Mathew will continue to demonstrate how to use the collection to recreate some of the looks that he developed for the runways, fashion shoots and celebrities such as Jessica Simpson, Kate Winslet and Stacy London just to name a few.

Each one specific to making lashes look absolutely fabulous. My personal favorite is the "High Definition Volumizing Mascara" because it lengthens my lashes, gives me volume and lasts all day without flaking or smudging.*FYI-here's a quick beauty tip: If you have a hard time applying false lashes, try curling your lashes with a lash curler before and after applying this mascara.
