Amber Portwood staying sober: 'Teen Mom' star learned a lesson

Amber Portwood of "Teen Mom" has learned a lesson and after spending 17 months in jail is now staying sober. On Thursday, The Hollywood Gossip shared how she is doing now and things seem to be really good for her. She does admit that staying sober has been hard, but as of right now the reality star seems to have it under control.

The "Teen Mom" star spoke out and said, "I didn’t realize when I did get out that I would have even more temptation out here than I would in there, I had to prepare myself for that. The first day I was out ... whenever things are overwhelming for me, or any sort of emotion - sadness, depression, anything - it is very easy to go back." So far she has been able to stay out of jail.

She continued saying, "I did 500 hours of rehab classes in prison. I was well aware of what was going to happen when I got out. It wasn’t a shock to me. It does bother me on an almost everyday basis but it is starting to get easier, and I never thought that would happen. If you asked me that question, probably last month, I would’ve told you no. But the way life is going now and how it's moving forward, I just feel so much more comfortable."

Amber Portwood has been diagnosed with a few medical problems, but she admits to being afraid to take them. She doesn't want them to make her want to take other drugs. Amber has depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. Right now she seems to have it under control and things are going well for her. Hopefully she can continue to take care of herself.
