Amber Hilberling found guilty of pushing husband out window

A woman in Oklahoma City was found guilty of second-degree murder on Monday for shoving her husband out of their 25th-floor apartment building, said the Huffington Post.

According to CBS, Amber Hilberling, 21, pushed 23-year-old Joshua Hilberling out the window in June 2011, causing him to land on “the roof of a parking garage 17 stories below.”

Police arrested Amber Hilberling that same day.

Hilberling had testified that she was trying to protect herself on the day of her husband’s death. She also explained that she did not intend to push him through the window, but that his death was caused by the thin glass in the window.

During that time, Hilberling was seven months pregnant. She was offered a plea deal of five years in prison earlier this month. However, this mother wanted to continue with the trial because she did not want to be away from her infant son.

Now the jury is suggesting Hilberling spend 25 years in prison along with a $10,000 fine.
