Mariah Eileen Akeen hasn't been seen since the very early morning hours of Wednesday, and now an Amber Alert is in effect for the search. This report shares that the 14-year-old Native American teen was allegedly kidnapped by 19-year-old Zachary Whiteman, who is reportedly driving a stolen vehicle. The details in this case are still developing, so it's not known what kind of relationship the two missing teens have, if any.

Reports indicate that a vehicle full of people was pulled over at approximately 2:00 a.m., Wednesday morning. When police were arresting the driver of the pickup truck, Whiteman allegedly jumped into the driver's seat and sped away with Akeen in the vehicle with him. Neither of them have been seen since, and the pickup is listed as a stolen vehicle.

Montana authorities are on high alert while searching for the duo, so if anyone in the public has information regarding their whereabouts, they are encouraged to contact the authorities with any information that might be useful. Right now it's not known if she was actually abducted by the 19-year-old, or if she is with him voluntarily. Some news reports are using the words "kidnapped," and it's probably due to her young age compared to him, a legal adult. Hopefully these two are found before any kind of tragedy occurs.
