Amazon wants to use delivery drones

Making the rounds on Facebook today is a new story that may change the way we shop. In an interview with “60 Minutes” on Sunday Amazon revealed they want to start a whole new way of delivering their products. Amazon’s founder and CEO Jeff Bezos announced “Amazon Prime Air”.

Amazon has 96, 1.2 million square foot warehouse distribution centers around the world. It’s expected that 300 items a second will be ordered this Cyber Monday on Amazon. First the company started with Amazon Fresh in Seattle, WA which does same day to your door grocery delivery. Next Amazon fashion was introduced this fall, selling high end fashion.

A few days ago Amazon announced they will deliver packages on Sundays. Now Bezos wants to take delivery a step further with prime air. Products delivered via droid to your home. You can see the entire interview with Charlie Rose: here.

Bezo’s thoughts on customer retentions are, “In the long run, if you take care of customers, that is taking care of shareholders.”
