Amazon's four top love advice books for Valentine’s Day

Every Valentine’s Day brings new opportunities for writers of self-help books, diet books, advice columnist and life coaches to sell their wares to those looking for love.

Amazon.com alone lists 2,419 love advice books; most of them aimed at single woman. Between television advertisements for candy, jewelry and cards, special dinners at restaurants and offices full of roses there is certain to be a surge in advice book purchases this week.

There are four books that have far surpassed their competitors in terms of positive reviews; they give advice on everything from self-love and esteem to finding the right man.

1. The Single Woman's Sassy Survival Guide: Letting Go and Moving On

Author Mandy Hale was recently named a “Twitter power house”, by The Huffington Post for her tweets about single girl life and love. Although she is not a mental health professional, she was on Oprah's LifeClass Tour as a member of the VIP Press Corps, covering events in St. Louis and New York her book had an impressive five star rating with 439 customer reviews.

Ms. Hale writes in the voice of her readers, “best friend” and gives advice on when it’s time to work on a relationship and when it’s time to “throw in the towel.”

2. Get the Guy: Learn Secrets of the Male Mind to Find the Man You Want and the Love You Deserve

Matthew Hussey, the love coach from the NBC reality series Ready for Love, gives tips and tricks for hanging onto your man. He promises to give special insight into the male mind . In spite of a Google search revealing no formal education or training in any form of psychology or business, Mr. Hussey Amazon bio states that has “coached thousands of high-powered CEOs, showing them how to develop confidence and build relationships that translate into professional success.” The book has a five star rating and 653 reviews.

3. God Where Is My Boaz: A woman's guide to understanding what's hindering her from receiving the love and man she deserves

Certified life & relationship coach Stephan Labossiere gives advice on how to “recognize and overcome the obstacles in love & relationships” and find the love God as planned for his readers. Mr. Labossiere has a Master’s degree in Family Therapy from Liberty University. He uses the story of Story of Ruth and Boaz in the Judeo-Christian Bible as an example of a perfect relationship. The book has received a five star rating and 112 customer reviews.

4. The Tao of Dating: The Smart Woman's Guide to Being Absolutely Irresistible

In addition to having an M.D. from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine Dr. Ali Binazir is a certified hypnotherapist who has been out on “hundreds of dates”. The book spent over a year on Amazon’s best sellers list. Reviews of the book claim that Dr. Binazir can tell you how to “be the best version of yourself and understand the way men think.”

Acording to it’s man positive reviews he book claims that women can get the men they want by learning to not care what they think and will tell women how to spot men who will never live up to their standards.
