On Jan. 8, Amazon.com released over a dozen new movies on DVD and blu-ray which are now available for movie fans. The list includes action-thriller "Taken 2" starring Liam Neeson which involves a kidnapping of a CIA officer and his family in Turkey.
Here is a list of new television series, musicals, and movies released on DVD on Tuesday:

For online shoppers, the next batch of DVD and blu-ray releases will come out on Jan. 15. On the big screen, what is the most anticipated movie release of 2013? Several blockbusters are in contention.
Robert Downey, Jr. will return in "Iron Man 3" while the new Superman movie, "Man of Steel," comes out this summer. "Star Trek Into Darkness" will make its debut on May 17, 2013. Out of all these flicks, it appears "Man of Steel," starring Henry Cavill and released by Warner Bros., is poised to be the biggest blockbuster this year.
While all three films will feature impressive special effects, Hollywood critics and the viewing public may be growing tired of big studios releasing sequels in close succession.
