Amazon has lowered the price on the Kindle and Kindle Fire. Amazon just launched the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 in Europe (U.K, Germany, France, Italy) and Japan that in turn means a lower price for the tablet in the United States.
The world’s largest internet retailer is trying to make the Kindle device one of the best-selling tablets and get it in the hands of more consumers.
In the United States., the Wi-Fi version of the Kindle now starts at $269 and the 4G Kindle device starts at $399 reduced from the original price of $499. Customers in the U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Japan can purchase the 8.9-inch screen Kindle tablet for the original cost of $299 for the Wi-Fi version and $499 for the 4G version.
Amazon is increasing the production of the Kindle in conjunction with the release of the availability of the device overseas. This decreases the cost of making the tablet and passing the discounts on to the consumer.
