Many Amazon Mom subscribers woke up today to an email from Amazon, touting the Top 10 Deals. In the email (shown above), there is an ad showing 15 percent off select baby items with promo code 15BABY13. The problem? That's the wrong promo code, and it didn't work. If you clicked on "more details" within the link, it gave you information about a promo from November 2012. (It has since been updated with the correct dates).
After some digging around, it looks like the promo code was just mistyped in their email (oops!). The real promo code is 13BABY15, and does in fact give you 15 percent off many baby items. You can also get up to 25 percent off of Turbo Tax, available as both a downloadable version or they will ship the program to you.
Baby items that are getting the discount are similar to those on the Amazon Mom Appreciation Event, but there is a little different mix:
- Skip Hop Alphabet Zoo Soft Activity Book : Adorable item from Skip Hop, only $12.74 after the promo code. One reviewer says "I just received the Skip Hop soft activity toy today, and went right on here to write a review. It is really beautifully made. So many different fabric textures, and the little animals pictured are multidimensional and adorable. This toy has the character and quality of something lovingly handmade. My son was fussy a minute ago and as soon as I gave him this toy he was immediately engaged." There is a large selection of other Skip Hop items getting the 15 percent discount as well.
- Chicco Keyfit 30 Infant Car Seat and Base : This Infant Car Seat and Base is always popular. With the 15% discount, you can get it for $161.49. The same model at Target is going for $189.99. Amazon also has the Travel System available for $297.49.
- For those Peg Perego Skate Stroller System fans, you can this high-end stroller for 15 percent off as well. While this still brings it to a hefty $649.39, this is a significant savings off its normal $799 list price.
- For a more affordable (and highly rated) stroller, the Graco LiteRider Stroller is only $57.10. (Target has it for $67.99, WalMart for $67.18). It is rated 4.4/5 stars. One reviewer says "After doing a lot of research to find an affordable, lightweight stroller with the "perks" of a bigger stroller, we bought this stroller and are very happy with our choice. It folds up very nicely and I love that it reclines allowing our 13 month old to nap if he wants." You can check out all the available strollers that are getting the 15 percent discount here.
- Skip Hop Complete Sheet Set with Decals is only $77.92. This set includes 4-Piece Crib Bedding Set (Treetop Friends) with Complete Sheet, nursery blanket, wall decals, and linen crib skirt. The nice thing about these sheets is that it has a "bold design around the sides and a matching pattern on top to create the look of a traditional bumper."
And don't forget the add-on items. Even these items are getting 15 percent discount, in addition to their already low prices. You have to have at least $25 total for the pricing:
- Vital Baby Play 'n' Splash Family, 3 Pack : rubber ducky three pack, add-on price of $2.99, discount price of $2.54.
- green sprouts Stacking Cup Set : $5.99 add-on price, only $5.09 with the discount.
- Vital Baby Toddler Straw Cup, 10 Ounce : $4.67 with the discount.
To get the discounts, be sure to put the correct promo code in (13BABY15) at checkout. You can use the promo code once during the promotional period, which runs until March 2, 2013.
