The Amazon Kindle Fire sales have been huge this Christmas shopping season, according to a Dec. 4 Yahoo Finance report. These huge record-breaking sales could spell big problems for Apple and Google. On Cyber Monday 2013 Amazon discounted the Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX by $50, which resulted in even larger sales.
Amazon's Kindle Fire is likely causing major issues with the Google Nexus 7 and Samsung tablets. In fact, they are even causing issues with Apple iPad Air and Apple iPad Mini. The Amazon Kindle is the Android brand to have. The word is that Amazon sells its incredibly popular tablets with a zero percent margin, which is the reason these tablets are so incredibly affordable compared to the Apple iPad Air and iPad Mini.
Neil Lindsay, Vice President of Amazon Kindle said,
"We're excited that so many customers have chosen Kindle this holiday season—and it's just getting started! Our new Kindle Fire tablets and Kindle e-readers are the best we've ever built, and we can't wait for customers to unwrap their gifts this holiday."
The chances are, if you are not getting an iPad Mini for Christmas, you will get a Kindle Fire HD or a Kindle Fire HDX. Clearly it is a highly wished for gift with Amazon saying this tablet is the most wished for item on its website this holiday shopping season.
If you missed the big Cyber Monday 2013 Kindle Fire HD and HDX sale on Amazon, be sure to continue checking because Amazon offers Lightning Deals every 10 minutes each day. In addition, this coming Monday is known as Green Monday, and there could be a surprise sale that day too. If not, pick up the tablets at regular price because they are still a great deal. Amazon is also donating $20 through AmazonSmile to your favorite charity for every Kindle Fire HDX sold.
If you do not want to buy a Kindle Fire HD or Kindle Fire HDX at Amazon, they are also available at Best Buy and Staples.
