Amazon has generated a lot of interest in the use of drones for peaceful business interests with the announcement of plans to use drones to get products to customers faster. Fox Business Network reported on

Amazon announced on Sunday it is planning a new delivery service in which products would be delivered to customers with the use of unmanned drones. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos discussed the so-called "Octocopters" during an interview which was on air Sunday on CBS "60 Minutes." Bezos says the drones would not be ready for actual working flights for another four or five years. He has a vision of the Amazon drones being seen like mail trucks are seen on the road today. Bezos says although this appears to be science fiction, it is not.
Bloomberg reported Bezos says Amazon is testing drones for same-day parcel delivery. Amazon is serious about working to introduce ways to get products to consumers faster. The firm wants shoppers to keep coming back to its Web store instead of going to brick-and-mortar retailers. This is an exciting view into the future from Amazon.
