The day is here! Amazon the masterfully large company has finally announced the long rumored phone, the Fire Phone. It is the very first smartphone specifically designed by Amazon and the numerous features coupled with the interior specs show how Amazon really went all out. The hype has finally arrived, get ready.
Let’s start with the specs. The Fire Phone has two different versions differentiated by price and memory. The base version has 32 gigabytes of memory while the upgraded version comes with a whopping 64 gigs of memory, though it’ll wear down the wallet costing $100 more. The phone comes with a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor along with 2GB of RAM. That’s fast processing and loading when opening apps or looking at websites on the phone. Coupled with the processor and Ram comes the Adreno 330 graphics processor. This will deliver excellent gaming performance along with video playback. The Fire Phone also comes with a 13 megapixel camera that can record in stunning 1080p at 30 fps which you can watch on the 4.7” HD LCD display. This feature works with both the front and rear-facing cameras. Two Dolby Digital Plus speakers are located on the front of the phone, something not common with many smartphones.
One of the best features of the Fire Phone is its…features. It offers all users the award winning Mayday button for instant customer service. There is also an unlimited amount of cloud storage, no more deleting those pictures for extra space. A selection of colors come for the phone to make it how the user wants it. Selections include Black or Cayenne in leather or Black, Cayenne, Citron, Blue, or Royal in a polyurethane coating. To top it all off the phone comes with a free year of Amazon Prime service.
Overall this Fire Phone is sure to shake things up a bit in the smartphone market. The only overall con about the device is its exclusivity to AT&T, forcing users to sign with them instead of a different provider. What do you think? Comment in the section below whether you will be getting a Fire Phone or leaving it alone.
