Are you waiting for a package this weekend?

Those of us in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Waco and College Station are getting expanded service from Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) which means you could get package delivery on a Sunday.

According to the company press release dated May 8, 2014, these Texas cities listed above are joined by a select list that comprises 15 cities, including Cincinnati, Lexington, New Orleans and Philadelphia with an expanded roll out to more cities later this year.

Some purchases may be eligible for Sunday delivery, such as baby supplies, and the consumer has the option to select that delivery as they add to their shopping list. For "Prime Members" of Amazon, an order submitted on Friday could be received within that two-day delivery on Sunday for free.

Amazon is a Fortune 500 company based in Seattle that opened its online services in July 1995. It offers a "Prime" membership service for an annual fee of $99. Some of the benefits are the free two-day shipping on eligible items, unlimited access to stream movies and TV shows and access to borrow free from the Kindle Owner's Library.
