Amazon.com and Walmart.com have been competing with Black Friday online deals for customers for the 2009 holiday season. The battle began when Walmart offered the top ten books for $9.00, then Amazon matched that price, so Walmart dropped their price of the books to $8.98. Amazon was once just a bookseller, but now offers groceries, electronics, clothing, and many of the same items that Walmart and other retailers sell every day, and Amazon offers free shipping on most items. Purchasing the items online allows the buyer to avoid crowds at the store.
Many stores are offering 2009 Black Friday sales online this year. Walmart, Toys R US, Target, Kmart and Sears are all offering the same sale items online as they are in the store in this year. The sales start the same time the stores open, and the doorbuster deals have a limited number of items for online shoppers as well. Cyber Monday is a relatively new term to the holiday season, but over the past few years the day has become the busiest online shopping day of the year.

Amazon.com is offering these items on Black Friday: An LG 37” LCD TV for $649 (regular price is $1399). Amazon has many items on sale now and state that Black Friday prices can be had right now.
