Feb. 6, 2013, Amazon coins was launched by the online retail giant, Amazon.com, to possibly developing an app on the Kindle Fire HD which could make a lot of money by using these coins. This was reported by NDTV to challenge the Apple's apps and their Appstore.
Amazon Coins lets Kindle Fire HD customers go into Amazon's Appstore to spend money on apps and games for their Kindle Fire tablet computer. Industry experts believe that apps that integrate seamlessly with our everyday life, will weigh more heavily with people's buying decisions rather than owning the fanciest new mobile hardware.
The Amazon Appstore will be immensely attractive for developers since Amazon.com is promising to give away, millions of dollars worth of Amazon coins, when they introduce this to all Amazon.com customers in the of Summer 2013.
Customers can use Amazon coins to buy applications or pay for virtual goods from within Amazon's Appstore on their Kindle Fire HD tablet. App developers will get a huge 70 percent of the revenue from each app sold in the Amazon Appstore and Amazon will keep 30 percent.
Amazon.com plans to put the pressure on the Apple's iPads and Apple's Appstore in the coming year to give customers a complete alternative to Apple products and their respective Appstore.
