#AmazonCart makes it easy for Amazon shoppers to shop directly from Twitter. Now when you see a tweet about an product, Twitter users, who have connected their accounts to Amazon, can add the item directly to their Carts by replying to a tweet with #AmazonCart.

Amazon users have to connect their account to their Twitter account in order to use the service. Without the line you cannot purchase an item by responding on Twitter.

By connecting your Twitter account and Amazon account you are letting Amazon know that #AmazonCart requests are coming from your Twitter account and that the item you found on Twitter is something you want to add to your Amazon shopping cart.

You are not automatically buying an item when your respond with the hashtag #AmazonCart but only saving it in your cart on Amazon. You can review or edit the item at any time once you are on the Amazon site. You will also receive a reply tweet from @MyAmazon letting you know if the item has been successfully added to your cart or if it is out of stock.

Next time you are browsing through Twitter and see a product link for an item you want to purchase you won’t have to leave the social medial site. Instead just reply with the hashtag #AmazonCart and save the item in your shopping cart for another time.

The new feature should save you a few seconds since you'll no longer have to actually click the link and manually add the item to your cart. Remember Twitter is a public site so others can see what you are adding to your cart.
