Amazon announces new trade-in program: Get money for gadgets, books, video games

A mere 7 hours ago, in the wee hours of the night on Thursday, March 13, 2014, Amazon sent an email to us Amazon Associates members, titled "Amazon Associates: New Trade-In Program, Spring Outlet Event, College Hoops & More."

It was a great reminder of their new trade-in program that lets folks who sell their stuff back to Amazon get money for unwanted books, electronic gadgets and video games by selling them back to Amazon.

The cool part about Amazon's trade-in program is that you can get an instant quote on how much you can get back for the particular item you're planning to sell -- and then they'll pay you with an Amazon gift card. This Internet Deals Examiner has taken advantage of the program to sell back books that were just taking up space in my house anyway -- and I've gone through the lists and searched on Amazon to see which books were part of the trade-in program. Even if they only added up to a few dollars or more, that was more money than I had before I used the program.

The stuff that I can't trade in to Amazon -- either because they don't allow it or because they wouldn't give me back enough moolah -- I generally wind up selling on eBay, which is another great way to get rid of stuff you no longer want and get some serious cash to pay your bills quickly.
