Kent Kaliber and Vyxsin Fiala were eliminated from “The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business” on Sunday’s episode after incurring a 30-minute penalty in Switzerland. The team, which first raced during season 12, was shocked to learn they had broken a rule – the team traveled to the pit stop by taxi when the clue clearly stated, “travel by foot” – and spent the 30 minutes verbally attacking one another. Kent was quick to point out that Vyxsin was the first person to read the clue, but Vyxsin reminded him she wasn’t the only person who read the clue several times. Kent then blamed Vyxsin’s negative attitude for distracting him, saying he hoped the team was going home if she was going to continue to act the way she had been acting.

Of course, once the team had been eliminated as well as had probably had some time to calm down, they put on smiles for their final interview, with Vyxsin saying at the end of the day she was going home with the best teammate of the race.
Switzerland
The teams left the previous leg’s pit stop at different times but all teams had to wait until a little after 9:00 a.m. to head to their next destination because their mode of transportation was not available until that time. The helicopters, which had staggered departures, took the teams to the Matterhorn for the first challenge of the leg.
For the leg’s Detour, the teams chose either Search – the teams had to locate a dummy buried in the snow – or Rescue – one team member had to lower the other team member into a crevasse in a glacier using a special device to rescue the person holding the next clue. Both challenges were incredibly labor intensive, and the high altitude made everything even more difficult. Zev and Justin struggled the most, and their difficulty determining the best way to dig up their dummy cost them their lead.
For the leg’s Road Block, one person from each team had to create a Travelocity gnome made entirely out of chocolate using a mold and the help of local chocolatiers – probably one of the greatest Road Blocks the show has ever featured! An argument broke out in the kitchen between Big Easy and Kent when Vyxsin ended up with Flight Time’s mold, which was further along than her mold. It is hard to say whether it was done on purpose, but neither Kent nor Vyxsin had any sympathy for Flight Time and Big Easy, basically blaming the other team for bulling them too much.
