Cowboys Jet and Cord McCoy were eliminated from “The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business” on Sunday’s episode. The team was eliminated in Switzerland after becoming the victims of the dreaded U-turn thanks to Flight Time and Big Easy, who were the only team to use the U-turn; although if they hadn’t used the U-turn, Flight Time and Big Easy probably would’ve been the team going home.
Viewers first fell in love with Jet and Corn on season 16, when they placed second.
Austria to Liechtenstein to Switzerland
All of the teams had to take a train and then a taxi to get to Liechtenstein. All of the teams were on the train, so the race really began with the taxis. Zev and Justin were the first to cross into Liechtenstein, followed by Jet and Cord.
Once in Liechtenstein, the teams encountered the leg’s Road Block, which challenged one person from each team to estimate the length of the country by traveling across it on a motorized bicycle. If their answer was correct, they received their next clue; if they answered incorrectly, they had to return to the starting line and travel the length again. Jet was the only player who had to complete the trip twice, but a few of the teams had some help; Kisha and Jen and Zev and Justin told Flight Time the answer, and Flight Time told Gary the answer.
The teams’ next clue sent them to Switzerland for their Detour. For the Detour, the teams had to choose either eating an entire bowl of cheese fondue or delivering 20 pieces of luggage to several local hotels. Zev and Justin were the only team to stick with the fondue challenge, although Justin almost threw in the towel a few times, especially after throwing up. Thankfully, the stuck with it and landed themselves in first place, which meant no need to fear a U-turn. Jet and Cord fell behind during the Road Block, but a few mistakes by Flight Time and Big Easy during the Detour gave them the opportunity to catch up. Unfortunately, they still weren’t the first team to arrive at the U-turn box.
