"The Amazing Race" 2013 wound up its global romp on Dec. 8.
So who won the 23rd season of the CBS TV reality show that takes competitors all over the world in order to take the top prize?
Well, first consider the final four contenders.
Georgia-based Travis and Nicole, the married emergency room doctors who fought for the win as well as with each other, were doing a fine job at the beginning. But, like all things, that just didn't least.
That said, keen competitors Jason and Amy, the dating couple from New England, have always been in it to win it, sharing their love as they journeyed in hormone and in love while hoping for the win.
Meanwhile, "Amazing Race" 23 competitors Leo and Jamal, the pair who dubbed themselves "Afghanimals," were not popular among the other players. But that isn't the point of this particular race, now is it?
Lastly, battling former spouses Tim and Marie were the dark horses to take the top prize in "The Amazing Race" 23. In fact, pundits like host Phil Keoghan thought these two would never get as far as the pair did.
So, at the end of the line, who finally took the win on "Amazing Race" 2013? Who were the lucky travelers who made "The Amazing Race" a victory for season 23 after pushing themselves to both physical, mental and emotional limits to get to the finish line first?
Well, that would be Amy and Jason.
Are you surprised? Did you think this couple would win "The Amazing Race" for season 23 or did you think it would have been another pair of contenders? Please weigh in with your thoughts as you stay tuned for the next season of this popular CBS reality show.
