When Amazing Race Season 23 premiers tonight at 8 p.m. on CBS, viewers will get a sneak peek at the set of an old Hollywood western town, and meet this season’s star-quality contestants including a fashion model, a beauty queen, and two NHL ice crew girls.
From there, the contestants begin the first leg of the race by traveling to a location in South America, where host Phil Keoghan tells the Hollywood Reporter members of the 11 competing teams will get a “shock to the system” within the first few hours of the competition that will span 35,000 miles over nine countries on four continents, finally culminating in one team taking the $1 million prize.
During the 12-episode run, Keoghan says Amazing Race fans can expect, “great locations, lots of surprises, great personalities, competitive people - and a satisfying finish for viewers.”
