My thoughts
I'm adding Steve and Allie to my list of possible winners. I can see them doing very well in this competition. They're coming in to the race with a great father/daughter bond, and it doesn't sound like they have a hard time working together, which is what usually trips a lot of teams up. Plus, it sounds like these two have a ton of determination running through their veins, especially Steve who explained in his CBS biography that it took him 20 years in professional baseball before making it to the major leagues. That never-give-up attitude is big in this game, and if Steve has it, I can't imagine Allie, his daughter, not having it.
My only worry for this team is that in Steve's CBS biography he mentioned that directions may be a big challenge for them. Directions are difficult for anyone in a foreign country, so I hope they were studying their how-to-read-a-map books before leaving for the first leg of the race.
