Is Willie Nelson a LOST fan? Or does Darlton just really like his version of Amazing Grace? That’s what I was wondering after viewing a new viral video.
DarkUFO is calling it ABC’s Promo #3 for Season 6 of LOST … and so is sl.LOST … but I am not convinced.
Why isn’t their a high quality version out there? And why doesn’t Nelson’s phrasing end when the commercial does? Seems kind of sloppy to me. I could be totally wrong – it’s happened before – but this looks fan-made:
After so much recent talk about the CUATRO release, ABC followed up with their own spin on what to expect in LOST’s final season. It seems odd that the network would release the Amazing Grace ad in such close proximity. But again, that’s just my opinion. With the LOST Season 5 DVD release happening this week, as well as the launch of LOST University, ABC could be pulling out all the stops.
I’d like to add that whether this clip is legit or not, I really do like it. Perhaps Cuse or Lindelof will tweet about it … I’ll keep you posted.

It is the real thing. I didn't see the first airing, but I did see it on TV last night during Desperate Housewives. I think it's pretty good, and Amazing Grace is a really good song choice. But I am partial to promo #2 ("Another bread crumb from ABC’s LOST"). :)
Thanks for the comment. Yes, "Amazing Grace" seems very telling ... guess they are giving us a little something without any new clips necessary. Will be posting a higher quality version soon. :)
