The great thing about this hiking trail is that it is mostly level. Additionally the hiking trail follows a section of the Old Spanish Trail. As you are hiking you can enjoy views of wildlife and water falls. At the northern end of the hiking trail you can access the trail from the Tecopa Post Office.

The trail provides an option to add distance by following the old railroad right away past the Tecopa Post end for a 0.5 mile minim trail. You then connect with the China Ranch trail head which is a 2 mile loop taking you past Willow Creek and Amargosa River. Parking is available at both trail heads. You can also park at China Ranch off of China Ranch Road just south of Tecopah.
