After Elissa’s Head of Household reign, the HOH competition left viewers holding their breath. Andy and GinaMarie were close in the competition, as they work their fingers through chicken wire to push eggs across a giant 'HOH' and then place them into their baskets. The competition was complete when GinaMarie was crowned the new Head of Household.
The second GinaMarie walked into the Big Brother house, Amanda was on her heels. She wanted to ensure GinaMarie obeyed her bidding and would put Elissa up on the block. This might have worked with anyone else, but GinaMarie had plans of her own. The house has grown tired of Amanda’s bossy game play.
Amanda and McCrae have been dominating players throughout this competition. Not domination in game winning methods but in Amanda’s rather strong insistence that other house guests abide by her wishes. McCrae simply does what his “Queen” desires. He may grumble and groan, but he does eventually do what she wants. Unfortunately, so does everyone in the house.
The chat rooms on the live feeds went wild. At one point, the chats completely disappeared due to the overload of fans wanting to get their two cents in on the new turn of events. Amanda was finally “getting hers,” as one fan stated.
Another commented that we were about to “watch karma in play.” The overall consensus was that Amanda was about to get what she deserved and that McCrae would be free to play his game. Fans talked spoke of the exciting night ahead and began making plans for the big show.
Everyone waited with bated breath for the nomination ceremony to be filmed. During the filming process, chat room fans normally get a set of trivia questions. Once the trivia cuts off, the house guests are in place again and live feed subscribers can see what new details the conversations may hold. During the break from feeds, fans ran to get popcorn, wine, beer and other goodies. The fish disappeared and onward we went.
GinaMarie had accomplished her plan. She had nominated Amanda and McCrae. The chat room was on fire. Fans were claiming this is the best Big Brother in history. It was exciting, I have to admit, to watch the McCranda couple finally go up and yet, it didn’t turn out quite as shocking as one might think it would.
Amanda didn’t take the news well, of course. Everyone typed frantically as she was “on the move” through the house, ready to take on anyone who got in her way. Subscribers thought there would be a huge brawl and were disappointed when she began to cry while holding McCrae. McCrae and Amanda spent time in the bedroom, discussing their new dilemma and of course, their hatred of Elissa. It has always and did again; boil down to being Elissa’s fault.
The drama continued for a while, until Amanda couldn’t handle it any more. Sobbing, she ran to the HOH room, in search of GinaMarie. She confronted the new Head of Household and asked why it was she and McCrae are on the block. GinaMarie made an attempt to explain they are a couple and needed to be split up. Amanda was once again having no part of her plan not working.
She sobbed, she raised her voice and she basically threw a fit like a two year old child not getting her way. But there was something different about this tantrum. Amanda was deflated. She knew she was beaten and that any form of begging would not change the fact. She left the room, telling GM that it just didn’t make any sense. She told GM she couldn’t stand the fact that that woman had “tortured poor Aaryn” since the beginning of the game and it simply wasn’t a smart move to keep her around. Once again, the chat room exploded with Amanda bashing comments.
Amanda curled up, where else, but in the bed next to McCrae and the two sobbed together for a while. They discussed the absurdity of it all. How could anyone dare put up them when Elissa was in the house? It was unfathomable. Fans blasted the chat room with hatred for the couple until the chat moved so fast it was unreadable. Bottom line was they knew they were finished in the game of Big Brother. There were moments where it was apparent McCrae was second-guessing his showmance with Amanda.
Like a dying animal, Amanda had to give it the last little bit of energy she had left to fight for her life. She headed for the kitchen, where she heard GM making dinner.
GM was running around the kitchen, making a nice chicken parm dinner. At one point, she had fallen down the staircase to the HOH room and has fractured her toe. So while she was cooking, chatting a hundred miles a minute, she was also favoring her bandaged foot. You’ve got to love a Jersey Italian girl.
Amanda walked into the kitchen and called to GM. She shot a quick apology across the kitchen, leaving other house guests and fans in shock. GM asked her to go into the other room with her where they could talk.
The two went into the adjoining “pillow” room where Amanda apologized one more time to GM. She apologized for coming at her the way she did. GM replied that it was all fine. Amanda wanted to know how any of it made sense, when the “evil Elissa” was still walking around the house. She informed GM that the “boys” would have their back if she or McCrae went home. She counted up the people in the house that GM would have to suffer wrath from if she sent one of them out the door. Amanda believes that Andy, Spencer, McCrae or her plus the possibility of Judd would be coming after her should this plan go down.
Little does Amanda know that Judd and Andy are working with GM and have left the kingdom of the “McNasties,” as they have been dubbed by fans.
GM didn’t budge but explained, once again, the ideology that these two are a couple and need to be separated from each other for good game play. Fans saw more sobbing, but were once again disappointed at the lack of overall drama.
McCranda stayed in the bedroom for the rest of the time, crying off and on. Finally, yesterday, they made an appearance. Sitting on the couch out back, Amanda found her prey. She sat with Andy, Spencer and Judd and had a little chat with them.
She counted on fingers as she explained how many of them could go into GM and tell her they want Elissa out this week in place of McCrae or Amanda. Suddenly, the boys became sleepy. They announced they were going to go inside and take a nap before the veto competition, although not before Spencer got his two cents in. He agreed with Amanda and proceeded to go off about Elissa and her evil, nasty ways. Yet, our boy Spencer states he is with GM for the vote this week. He explains to Andy and Judd that his target is Elissa for next week’s eviction. I guess Spencer needs to become Superman and actually win a competition for this wish to come true.
After the group napped, the veto began. Cameras went off and the shot of fish came into view. Fans continued chatting while the competition was taking place. The countdown began. Someone actually kept track of what time they would be finished with the comp and knew exactly when it began. We received a minute by minute reminder of when the show would continue. The excitement grew.
An hour passed and finally the feeds came back up. McCrae had one a POV competition! He finished his “athletic” run by running into the bathroom to vomit for a while. He was physically ill from the spinning in the competition play. We couldn’t see the actual competition, yet he explained to GM in a later conversation that there was so much spinning that he couldn’t handle it. Through his vomiting, however, he held his veto high, but knew he couldn’t save his “Queen.”
In the bedroom, the two discussed the possible chance that someone would still come to their rescue and not vote the way GM wanted them to vote. Maybe Amanda will be saved by everyone’s vote swaying toward the deletion of Spencer or Andy? Amanda played out all scenarios and gave her showmance the orders to go talk to GM.
GM and McCrae met once again. Amanda was called into the DR, leaving McCrae free to speak. GM explained that she felt McCrae plays a better game when Amanda wasn’t controlling him. It was the first time since the season began that McCrae actually smiled and even spoke up for himself. He agreed with GM about Amanda’s demanding demeanor and yet defended her too. It was a sad and interesting conversation.
The bottom line for the week is that GM has put up McCrae and Amanda. McCrae has won the POV and will probably pull himself off. Although thoughtful Amanda did suggest to McCrae that she could remain while he leaves because she is stronger as a competitor, I’m not so sure that will fly.
What they don’t know is that it is a double eviction. McCrae will come down off the block but Andy or Spencer are the targets for GM as replacement nominees. Two house guests will leave the Big Brother house on Thursday. Game play is serious now, with only five players left after eviction.
It will be interesting to see who out of the group will win the HOH and how this will all play out. Fans are just excited to finally get rid of the two “mean girls” in the house; Aaryn and Amanda. One down and one to go. Now, this is a game.
