In a follow up to the recent tragic death of Canadian teen bullying victim, Amanda Todd, it seems as though justice might be done. The hacker group, Anonymous, followed the digital trail of the man who tormented Amanda from the time she was age 12 until her death last week.

Anonymous stepped in and began conducting their own investigation after autopsy pictures of Amanda Todd's nude body turned up on the internet. The group claimed that a teenager, Alex Ramos, distributed the pictures online, bombing his Twitter account.

Known pedophile, Kody Maxson of Westminster, British Columbia was in court on Monday, brought up on charges of sexual assault and sexual interference with a minor in an unrelated case to Amanda Todd's. When questioned, Maxson responded that Amanda was his "friend" and that her tormentor is a pedophile who lives in New York. Anonymous also posted a screen shot with a map that leads directly to Maxson's residence.

Anonymous performed due diligence in an effort to back their claims, ultimately getting Maxson to admit to authorities that he did in fact know Amanda Todd. They linked to a protected Facebook picture and an account tied to Maxson on a "jailbait" forum for pedophiles. In this forum, Maxson admits he posts pictures of underage girls to blackmail them for more "revealing" pictures.

The elusive activist group, Anonymous, has made news over the last couple of years as championing the causes of the oppressed. Conspiracy buffs anxiously await posts from the popular group, who has vowed to take down oppressive, tyrannical figures in the government. This case, which has captured worldwide attention, became a case that Anonymous felt compelled to take on. Voted as one of the most influential "people" of 2012, Anonymous states: “We generally don’t like to deal with police first hand but were compelled to put our skills to good use protecting kids,” they told CTV (Canadian Television). “Ironically we have some good people in Vancouver who brought this to our admin’s attention. It’s a very sad story that affects all of us.”
