Amanda Seyfried supports both teachers and porn stars. Seyfriend signed a map at the Golden Globes supporting Hilton’s new Teacher Treks program. According to a Jan. 18 Houston Chronicle report, Amanda shows off lots of skin while playing a porn star in her new film “Love Lace.”
Seyfried is playing 70s porn star Linda Lovelace. Amanda showed support to teachers while images of her portrayal as a porn star go public during the same week a teacher was fired when it came to light that she once appeared in a porn film.
Stacie Halas, 32, taught eighth grade science in California until her students learned she was porn actress prior to beginning her teaching career. Halas was fired from her job and lost her appeal to return to the classroom this past week.
Linda Lovelace left her porn career to become an activist against the genre. Unfortunately, leaving her her pornographic past behind is proving to be a challenge for Halas – especially when it comes to continuing her career as a teacher.
Amanda Seyfried was one of several stars to sign the Hilton HHonors Teacher Treks sculpture in support of teachers at the NBC Universal Golden Globes After Party Red Carpet on Sunday, January 13. Hilton HHonors Teacher Treks Travel Grant Competition is an award program in which teachers vie for the chance to travel, explore and share culture firsthand. Through an essay submission, teachers discuss cultural destinations they have always wanted to visit and explain how they would share the learnings and experiences from a trip there with their students.
