Amanda Knox was accused of the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Umbria, Italy in 2009, and served 4 years of a 26-year sentence before her widely publicized conviction was overturned on October 3, 2011. In December 2011 we learned that Amanda had secured legal services to help negotiate a book deal detailing her ordeal. This week, HarperCollins announced that Knox had signed with them to write her memoir in a deal that will pay her $4 million.
According to Reuters:
"… a source familiar with the deal said Knox would tell her story in that memoir, and would be including details of her Italian imprisonment."
