“I will be in Stockton doing a book signing on October 5th from 1:00 to 3:00 at Barnes & Noble,” she says. “I will have giveaways so it will be lots of fun.”
Johnson appeared on the “Good Day Sacramento” show last week and announced that her successful book is now available in Barnes & Noble stores. In the interview, the spirited author, who has three stepchildren and one natural child, talked about the inspiration behind the book.
“When I was a new mom, the how-to’s and what you should do, and what you need to do, like… that didn’t bring me comfort,” she jokingly said. Johnson added that what brought her comfort were the conversations with her girlfriends about the unexpected things that happen.
The 110 page book is a fun read for parents or parents-to-be, Johnson said. The book looks at the humorous side of parenting and is a collection of funny moments told by mothers, fathers, and caretakers from every background, nationwide.
Chapter titles include, “Do or Diaper,” “I Could Have Dyed,” “Barney Overload,” and “Scent Packing.” The stories are light and funny as well as “disgusting, horrifying and almost unbelievable” according to Beforeitisnews.
“Mommies’ Priceless Moments” is currently available at Barnes & Noble stores, barnesandnoble.com, Amazon.com, and smashwords.
Come join the fun and meet Amanda E. Johnson at her book signing event at the Barnes & Noble store located at the Weberstown Mall in Stockton, on Oct. 5 from 1pm to 3pm.
