Amanda Bynes is no stranger to controversy, nor is strange behavior out of the question for the 26 year-old former Nickelodeon star. Yesterday Amanda continued her odd ways when she tweeted pics of herself looking in one shot like a twisted version of a Barbie doll. Bynes sported heavy makeup, thick eyeliner and lashes, and long curly platinum blonde hair sticking out from under a knit cap that read “trapstar” across the front. A cheek piercing and “stiletto” shaped fingernails round out the actress’s nearly unrecognizable look as she stares back at herself in a compact mirror, as reported by People today.
In the photo, Amanda captioned simply with “Wink;)”. Later followed another pic in which she looked more like a rap star. Bynes wore a captain’s hat, displaying two cheek piercings, one on each side of her face, and two thick gold chains around her neck.
Then came a burst of cryptic tweets in which Amanda spews out reflective relationship oriented platitudes. The first said, “If it is meant to be, our hearts will find each other when we meet. And if our hearts melt together so will our bodies and souls”.
Later Bynes wrote, “Forgetting past memories”, followed by, “The best feelings are those that have no words to describe them…”. The “Easy A” actress finished with, “I don't care who kissed you first as long as I kiss you last”.
Amanda is still mired in a number of legal issues which include two hit-and-run accidents, a DUI charge, and two counts of driving with a suspended license from last fall. The hit-and-runs have allegedly been resolved by reaching a financial settlement with the two victims.
The photos follow months-long erratic behavior by Bynes, including reports by witnesses that Amanda was talking to inanimate objects and accounts of her driving around aimlessly smoking pot.
She reportedly removed her top revealing her non-sports bra during a spin class at her gym and locked herself in the rest room and dressing room of two N.Y. city establishments.
Her dramatic makeover also comes on the heels of reports in February that she was evicted from her N.Y. apartment, for smoking pot and cigarettes.
The actress rejects being called a “troubled” starlet, having told Us Weekly back in November, “I’m 26, a multi-millionaire, retired”.
