Amanda Bynes is no longer a patient at the UCLA psychiatric center and has relocated to a comfortable Malibu rehab facility known as The Canyon. A source told New York Daily News on Monday that Bynes was so frightened at the psych ward that she stayed indoors and refused to leave the ward.

The Canyon is a better fit for Bynes who is suffering from personality disorders and needs continuous care. The rehab facility is secluded and offers therapeutic options such as yoga classes and organic meals. Even though the facility is much more peaceful, Bynes will still have to work hard on her recovery.

Amanda's mother, Lynn Bynes, was granted a temporary conservatorship in August after Amanda was involuntarily committed for setting fire to a neighbor's driveway. Amanda's parents also reported that their daughter was spending too much money and claiming she was being watched by smoke detectors and other devices in her vehicle. Most importantly, they're concerned that their daughter could be a threat to herself or others.

The conservatorship gives doctors the right to force patients to take medication and remain committed in a locked facility. Such a decision may be in Bynes' best interest because she is reportedly making slow progress in her recovery. She is suffering from schizophrenia, a mental disorder that causes people to have delusions and feel paranoid.

While The Canyon is mainly known for treating patients with addiction problems, Amanda can still get the help she needs in time. Amanda's parents are requesting some privacy so they can take care of their daughter's mental health problems. They're reportedly appreciative of Amanda's supporters during her crisis.
