Amanda Bynes has checked out of the UCLA Medical Center and re-entered The Canyon – a well-known celebrity rehab facility in Malibu, according to reports from on Monday, Sept. 30, from UPI. Sources say the troubled “She’s the Man” actress is "paranoid" that her rehab whereabouts will be discovered by the paparazzi. The Canyons is the facility where Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife Brooke Muller had confidential information sold to the media by an employee of the center.
Further sources report Amanda Bynes, 27, left the UCLA hospital three weeks ago to enter The Canyons, but things did not work out for her. Apparently she was unable or unwilling to interact with people around her, and she is in serious need of the psychiatric facilities available at UCLA, but not at the rehab treatment center. The "She's The Man" star has allegedly been in a "desperate" state, so the current move back to The Canyons could spell a step forward in her treatment cycle.
The Amanda Bynes change of location has broken as news just days after a judge transferred her DUI case from regular court to a mental-health court, stating that she was mentally unfit for trial. Meanwhile, a lawsuit is underway between The Canyons and Brook Muller. Further reports will be forthcoming.
