After months of silence on social media, Amanda Bynes has broken her silence to post a brief message to her followers on Twitter.

The message, apparently tweeted just after midnight today read:

“Hi everyone! I'm busy studying at @FIDM but I want to say I love you to my fans! Xoxo Amanda”

The response on social media has been overwhelmingly supportive of current fashion student, with nearly 5,000 retweets and 11,000 favorites. Ms. Bynes has also deleted the controversial tweets that signaled a downward spiral in the behavior of the former actress who rose to fame on television before appearing in a number of feature films.

The past two years, Ms. Bynes routinely made headline news for her often bizarre Tweets and irrational behavior in public. Her problems were punctuated by a series of run-ins with the law, culminating in her arrest last July where she allegedly started a fire in the driveway of a stranger’s home in Thousand Oaks, California.

The 27-year-old, who was already facing drug charges in New York, was immediately sent to a 72-hour mental heath hold before being diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. By December, she was released from a private treatment center in Malibu to her parents.

Shortly after her release, she emerged with a new focus and enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Orange County. Recently reported as doing much better, Ms. Bynes occasionally stepped out into the public, with the media, particularly the paparazzi trying to follow her every move.

Today’s tweet appears to represent a positive transformation for Amanda Bynes and based upon the reaction from her three million+ followers and comments from the media, most everyone is hoping for her complete recovery.
