AMA AMSOIL Arenacross ready to crown a champion in Salt Lake City Saturday

After a season on which five different riders have each captured event titles it all comes down to who wants it most going into the AMSOIL arenacross 'Race To The Championship' finale on Saturday, March 29 at EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City.

At the moment Tyler Bowers of Danville, Kentucky has an 18 point lead. But several riders still have a chance to overtake the reigning champion Bowers -- including Jacob Hayes.

Bowers’ teammate Zach Ames trails by just 27 points -- still within range -- and he’s won twice going into this all-important finale.

A broken tibia early in the season curtailed Bowers’ shot at repeating his title. But his rivalry with Hayes -- as well as a thirst to become a four-time titlist -- means he’s undoubtedly ready to win.

“Sick open practice session this morning at the @Arenacross finale here in Salt Lake City!” Bowers tweeted after his first session at ESA.

The races get underway Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available at EnergySolutions Arena Box Office, online at, or by phone at 800-888-TIXX.
