Am I a terrorist or not?

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano

I can never be sure. I'm about to have my Examiner business cards printed up, but I'm not sure if I should include the title "Domestic Terrorist" or not.

A month ago, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano advised law enforcement to be on the lookout for right wing extremists (of which I am one), in case they were preparing for acts of domestic terrorism. This was in the lead-up to the tax revolt tea parties on April 15. Some of those extremists included:

  • military veterans
  • pro-lifers
  • white supremacists
  • devout Christians

Hmm... Scary. Of course, Napolitano backtracked shortly after the report was released, saying that she and the DHS had the utmost respect for our returning troops, and that she never meant to insult them by calling them potential terrorists. You know, since terrorists are who they were fighting all along, and all.

Now that she's been short-bus short-listed for the open slot on the Supreme Court, she's backtracking even further. We are now supposed to forget that our troops and God-fearing Christians have been branded terrorists, because the report that she has previously commented on (on April 16, The Washington Times reported that Napolitano "stood by" the report) should never have been released at all.

Another member of the Obama administration has been chucked under the Obama Bus, and to the tune of Rawhide they are rollin' rollin' on.

The wheels came off the wagon because the vetting process was not followed. An employee sent it out without authorization.

Similar to the employee in the White House who didn't check his email because of a bad back (good thing my BlackBerry isn't so heavy that I can't check my email from bed), and has since resigned for allowing Air Force One to buzz the still-nervous residents of Manhattan, someone Napolitano is ultimately responsible for will have to suffer because she allowed this report to be created and then released.

It has now been taken down from the DHS website, and is being re-written to seem less offensive to our troops. No mention in press releases if Christians will still be treated as suspected terrorists.

Well, I'm not a vociferous pro-lifer, and I keep my religion between me and God. Mostly. I've never served in the military. I'm barely white, so my white supremacy is pretty well supressed.

So technically, I'm not really worried about being considered a terrorist. Unless perhaps a "Don't Tread On Me" bumper sticker were to find its way onto the back of my gas-guzzling, CO2-spewing, Earth-destroying SUV... but again, I don't have one. I take the subway. Hope there's no terrorists on there with me.

Does this mean illegal aliens, muslim extremist, zionist extremist, black militants, gay militants, left-wing extremist groups (like the one Bill Ayers belonged to) are now considered safe and beyond reproach.

Let's slow down, no one is saying you guys can't hate black people or anything. It's just that the farther right you go the wackier and more dangerous you become.

"Gay militants" That's rich! I thought people like you didn't want gays in the military! But at least you're recognizing that they have the right to be "militant", although gun toting bubba's like you are a million times more dangerous.

Anyway, keep fighting the moderation that your party will eventually succumb to...unless of course you secede...which in reality might be the best for everyone in involved...

Are you a white supremacist and/or a member of a Christian Identity group? Is so, they'd better keep an eye on you.

    Domestic Terrorism is back...
